# Prerequisites

> Required settings and access checks before installing ShiftUp.

Complete this checklist before package installation.

## Admin Access

* Salesforce System Administrator access in the target org.
* Latest package install link from ShiftUp.

## Org Configuration

* Enable **Lightning Web Security** in Salesforce:
  * `Setup > Security > Session Settings`
  * Confirm **Use Lightning Web Security for Lightning web components and Aura components** is enabled.

## Recommended Prep

* We recommend a designated integration user account for ShiftUp for granular permission control and auditability. The [setup wizard](/setup/post-installation#2-assign-shiftup-permissions-to-selected-integration-user) can create this user for you in one of two ways:

  * **Recommended:** Use a **Salesforce Integration** user license plus a **Salesforce API Integration** permission set license. This does not consume a paid Salesforce user license. Verify available counts under `Setup` > `Company Information`.
  * **Fallback:** Use a standard Salesforce user license with the Minimum Access - Salesforce profile.

  If neither license type is available, identify an existing user to use as the integration user in advance.
* Please share your salesforce organization Id in advance with ShiftUp to speed up activation. You can find it under `Setup` > `Company Information` then look for the value in the`Salesforce.com Organization ID` field.
