# Data Handling and Storage

> Data location, runtime processing, and storage boundaries.

## Data Location

* ShiftUp creates managed custom objects in customer Salesforce orgs.
* AI-generated outputs are stored in Salesforce managed objects.

## Runtime Processing

Contextual CRM data is used at analysis runtime and is not shared across customers.

## Storage Outside Salesforce

ShiftUp does not persist CRM record content outside Salesforce. Platform storage is limited to minimal operational metadata used to run workflows.

## Multi-Tenancy and Isolation

* ShiftUp AI Platform is multi-tenant.
* Requests are authorized with specific org-scoped credentials.
* Workflow isolation is enforced at the org boundary.

## Vector Data

* Vector embeddings are derived from public external research data.
* Customer CRM content is not embedded into vector databases.
